Silhouettes at Parties
The art of cutting silhouette profiles freehand from black paper is something of a lost art.
Reminiscent of Victorian days these paper "cameos" are cut straight out, in a matter of seconds, using just a pair of scissors. Charles will wander among your guests "cutting heads".
These are then mounted into ovals and handed out as a souvenir of the evening.
Silhouettes go down very well when cut "around the tables" at sit-down dinners. Charles will wander from table to table cutting a few silhouettes at each one. The audience can watch the silhouette appear as if by magic, in the artist's hands.
The Royal International Air Tattoo 2011
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the help you gave recently in providing three very good acts for one of our events which took place in July 2011.
All of the acts - Sean Carpenter, the magician, Nicholas Bronowski the caricaturist and Charles Burns the silhouettist, all provided excellent entertainment for our guests and everyone enjoyed either watching the excellent magic tricks or watching the skills of both Charles and Nicholas in providing such accurate and detailed images of the guests - all were outstanding.
Thanks again and we look forward to working together again in the future.
