Philip Sherman is a master storyteller.  The command he has over his young audience extends beyond simply inspiring interest and maximising entertainment, he depends on audience involvement from the start.

Beginning with a book with no pages, the storyteller turns to his audience to fill in the blanks.  He plays all the characters as they enter the story and the audience are very much involved in the storyline as it unfolds (and often take part themselves!)
