Celebrity personal chef, health and nutrition expert and highly sought after TV presenter.
Sophie Michell is one of the most beautiful, sexy and talented young chefs currently on UK television. She is very confident in front of the camera and her cooking always aims to be healthy and delicious.
Sophie started her professional kitchen career at the tender age of 14 before moving to London to gain her Advanced Chef Diploma at Butler's Wharf Chef School. At just 19 she was nominated for The Craft Guild of Chef 'Young Chef of the Year Award' and has since worked at some of the Capital's best restaurants including The Green House, The Lanesborough and The Embassy.
Sophie has a real passion for nutrition and healthy eating. She was the private chef for a world famous supermodel for two years and has cooked for various other A-list clients.
This healthy cookery experience made her the perfect choice of presenter to join Channel 4's popular food series Cook Yourself Thin, and a New Year's spin off special of the series.
In the past she has worked as Head Chef on Ch4's The Fit Farm and she is continually invited onto Good Food Channel's Market Kitchen. Most recently she filmed The Teenagers Guide to Life for BBC1. She has also appeared on Celebrity Weakest Link, danced for Comic Relief on Lets Dance, and has done numerous interviews on shows such as Richard and Judy, Loose Women and GMTV.
Sophie has had several successful cookbooks. Her first was Irresistible published in 2005 followed by the TV tie-in book, Cook Yourself Thin: A Delicious Way to Drop a Dress Size which went to number three on the UK non-fiction paperback list. Her latest book, Fabulous Food: Sexy recipes for Healthy Living was published in 2008. She is now working on her next book. She is also a regular columnist for Grazia Magazine, Healthy Magazine, Tesco's Count Down to Christmas Magazine and Top Sante. She is also the Middle-Eastern food correspondent for Eat Me magazine. In 2007 she wrote Tesco's in-store recipe cards and she has been featured in top magazines and newspapers worldwide.
Sophie is a sought after cookery demonstrator and regularly hosts shows live on stage for the BBC Good Food show. She has catered for large scale events including Veuve Clicquot, Maybelline, The Conservative Party, Square Meal and IMG.
Sophie is in big demand for various food related PR campaigns and product ranges. She worked again with Tesco on their luxury Bath and Beauty product range which was inspired by her two favourite desserts. In 2008 she was involved with Bring on the Salads campaign and 'The Early Harvest' Lindeman's wine campaign. She also filmed a series of Vodcasts for 'Uncle Bens' and last year her media campaigns included the launch of premium Green and White tipped tea for Tetley in Canada, devising recipes for Tefal Vitacuisine and she was advising expert for the new Herbal Essences range. She is currently working on a Peaches and Plums campaign for South Africa.
Sophie's consultancy and private cooking takes her all over the world - a cookery school in the south of France, healthy eating lessons in Beirut and as personal chef to a Hollywood actor whilst filming on location!
She is currently developing TV projects with some key independent production companies for transmission in the UK and USA and recently opened a new restaurant in Beirut.
