Rageh Omaar

Combined with his role for Al Jazeera where he presents a daily documentary strand called Witness, Rageh has recently worked on a number of special programmes for television: The Abolition of Slavery for BBC2 and Welcome To Tehranfor BBC4.

Rageh rose to prominence as the BBC's man in Baghdad. His reports from the beleaguered Iraqi capital became a regular feature on news bulletins in the UK and around the world.

Rageh recently spoke at the Barclay's Wealth Forum in Dubai. He has hosted the Middle East Deals of the Year Awards and recently spoke at the Department of Health Conference, The Luxury Travel Fair and also the Bicentenary of Slave Trade for Communities & Local Government.

Rageh has previously given the Worldview Address at the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival and was part of the European Speaker Series for Credit Suisse.
