Celebrating 40 years as magic’s most outrageous and innovative team, Penn & Teller are Emmy award-winning TV stars, best-selling authors and Las Vegas  icons.

Their Showtime series, “Penn & Teller: BS!” was nominated for 16 Emmys.  Their latest ventures were the highly successful ITV’s “Penn & Teller Fool  Us!” hosted by Jonathan Ross on Saturday nights and “Penn & Teller Tell A  Lie” for Discovery Channel.

For years Penn & Teller have defied labels – and at times physics and  good taste – by redefining the genre of magic and inventing their own very  distinct niche in comedy.

With sold out runs on Broadway, world tours, Emmy-winning TV specials and  hundreds of outrageous appearances on everything from ‘The Royal Variety  Performance’ to ‘Friends’ to ‘The Simpsons’, contemporary comedy’s only magic  team show no signs of slowing down.

With an amazing six wins as ‘Las Vegas Magicians of the Year,’ their 13-year  run at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino makes them the of the longest  running and one of the most-beloved shows in Las Vegas history, outselling every  other resident magician on The Strip and earning them the accolade of ‘The  single best show in Vegas’ by the Los Angeles Times.

Eccentric Guys:

Referring to themselves as "a couple of eccentric guys who have learned how to do a few cool things," the comedy team is known for presenting an agenda that involves liberal viewpoints and  skepticism. P&T are Las Vegas headliners who tour and often make appearances on television shows that include "Late Night with David Letterman."

Taller & Louder:

Penn Jillete is the taller and louder of the pair who does all the talking.  Teller, the shorter of the pair, doesn't speak in shows (with a few rare exceptions). Despite his silence and comedic presence, Teller is a highly-respected magic authority. While P&T often poke fun at magic and magicians and perform their routines in a seemingly haphazard manner, they are highly-skilled magicians and equally polished performers.

Going Public:

P&T have been together since the mid-1970s. In the mid-1980s, the pair received recognition for an Emmy-award winning PBS special, "Penn & Teller Go Public," perhaps the first introduction to the comedy team for many; and an off-Broadway show. From there, the pair took off, often appearing on Saturday Night Live and major talk and variety shows. P&T have had their own network magic specials such as "Penn & Teller Off The Deep End" in 2005.
